Auris-en-Oisans is a small resort-village perched south-facing on a balcony above the Oisans, known for its family atmosphere, sunny pistes and calm. Unlike the large high-altitude resorts, it has kept the charm of a real mountain village.
For us, Auris matters a great deal: it's where the Maronne chairlift sets off, the ski lift closest to our two properties — just three kilometres from La Garde-en-Oisans. This chairlift connects directly to the vast Alpe d'Huez ski area: you reach 250 km of pistes without ever driving all the way to the main resort.
In summer, Auris becomes an ideal starting point for hiking and mountain biking, with sweeping views over the Romanche valley and the surrounding peaks. A village that has kept its soul, just minutes from our hamlet.
