The village
The calm, the view, the edge of the forest
La Garde-en-Oisans is a small mountain village in the Isère, perched south-facing above the Romanche valley, between Le Bourg-d'Oisans and the Alpe d'Huez ski area. This is where, in the hamlet of La Garde-en-Oisans, you'll find both our properties — a guest room with a private hammam and a cosy little house.
What makes La Garde special is its rare exposure: light from dawn to dusk, an unobstructed view of the peaks fifty metres from the door, and the forest a hundred metres away. Far from the bustle of the resorts, you'll find silence, clean air, and trails starting right at the doorstep.
The location is ideal: just three kilometres from the first Auris-en-Oisans lift (the Maronne chairlift, which gives access to the Alpe d'Huez ski area), fifteen minutes from Le Bourg-d'Oisans and its shops, and 300 m from the route of the GR54, the Tour de l'Oisans. A genuine base camp for skiing, cycling and hiking.
